The Divine Matrix by Gregg Braden

Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It’s too high!
COME TO THE EDGE
And they came.
and he pushed.
and they flew.

Christopher logue

It seems that every book i pick up nowadays inspire me even more than the last one, and ‘The Divine Matrix’ was no exception – to the point that o wish id read this 10 years ago!

Then again, 10 years ago I wasn’t ready to hear (or believe!) that after all is said and done, everything is indeed possible and that, instead of being a bystander witnessing life unfolding, we are all co-creators of our reality:

“And herein we find the secret of propelling our hearts desires from the state of imagination to the reality of everyday lives. it’s our ability to feel as if our dreams have already come to live, our wishes are fulfilled, and our prayers already answere. In this way we actively share in what we would call our ‘participatory universe’”

Gregg has a great way of explaining huge concepts – like our holographic universe, and that we are all connected – in every day language and in a way that it just makes sense.  Over and above that, he guides you to really understand what those things mean in every day life and how you can apply it right away.

“There is a subtle yet powerful difference between working toward a result and thinking and feeling from it. When we work toward something, we embark upon an open-ended and never-ending journey. While we may identify milestones and set goals to get us closer to our accomplishment, in our minds we’re always on our way to the goal, rather than in the experience of achieving it. This is precisely why Neville’s admonition that we must ‘enter the image’ of our hearts desire and “think from it” is so powerful in our lives.”

Quoting all the way from Rumi to modern day quantum physics experiments that truly
boggles and stretches the mind, he shows how, despite what your physics teacher may have told you, we are not bound by the law of physics.

“In everything – from searching for romance and healing our loved ones to the fulfillment of ourdeepest aspirations, we are an integral part of all that we experience each day.

The key to awakening such an awesome power is to make a small shift in the way we see ourselves in the world.. With a small shift in perception we can tap the most powerful force in the universe in order to address even seemingly impossible situation.  This happens when we allow ourselves a new way of seeing our role in the world.”

He also shares examples of how the power of mindful intention have resulted in miracles on a large scale and a very practical way, e.g. how focussed meditation groups have resulted in reduced violence in cities and reduced hostile action in war zones. What I found especially fascinating is that these experiments where repeatable ways and the results predictable, i.e. they could calculate the minimum number of people needed to produce a desired result.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. Soren Kierkegaard

Greg clearly illustrates the (limiting or empowering) power of your beliefs and how it either stops you in your tracks or propel you into greatness, and how you already have all the power you need to create all the changes you choose – now!

He goes on to explain why just talking about it or just saying that you are choosing a
new reality is not enough, and more importantly, how to start speaking the language of the universe to become who you want to become, to tap into and access the immense power you are.

“The opportunity to be in prison or free is ours, and we are the only ones who can make the choice.”

If you have had enough of being a victim to circumstance, if you truly want to understand what it means to create your own reality, if you are ready to see how your external world serves as a mirror of your beliefs, thoughts and feelings – and if you want to be inspired to become who you want to be and live the life you want, then Divine Matrix is essential reading.

“In the divine matrix, we are the container within which all things exist, the bridge between the creations of our inner and outer worlds, and the mirrot that shows us what we have created.

This book is written for those of you who long to awaken the power of your greatest passions and deepest aspirations. In the divine matrix, you are the seed of the miracle, as well as the miracle itself.

I’ve written this book for one reason: to offer a sense of hope, possibility, and empowerment in the world that often makes us feel small, ineffective, and helpless.

It’s clear that there is something out there – a field of energy that connects everything we do, as well as all that we are and experience.

In chapter 7 Gregg shines some light on why we are attracted to others or become infatuated with them, why we attract certain poeple into our lives at certain times that result in painful experiences; he alsl guides us through through those difficult times when others trigger us into feelin upset, hurt or rejected, and shares what he calls ”5 mirrors of relationships”.

A great, empowering, educational and inspiring book, right for our times.
